Recently, NTEX opened a new state-of-the-art logistics center in Långeberga, Helsingborg, near the port. This establishment is part of the company's future investment to provide even more efficient and sustainable logistics solutions. Lagerhaus, one of NTEX's largest customers, is very positive about the development of operations in Helsingborg.

“At Lagerhaus, we are working intensively to reduce our carbon footprint in all parts of the value chain to eventually become fossil independent. Therefore, it is crucial for us to collaborate closely with suppliers who, like us, want to lead and drive development in a sustainable direction,” says Anette Yngvesson, CEO of Lagerhaus.

In Helsingborg, the two companies have a long-established cooperation in terms of cargo handling, picking, packing, and distribution. The location, near the port and major transportation routes throughout the country, is important for Lagerhaus, especially for the company’s e-commerce.

“With the new logistics center, we have the conditions to continue developing together for the future, especially when it comes to reducing the carbon footprint from our transportation,” says Anette Yngvesson. NTEX has been focusing on smart route planning, high-capacity utilization, carbon offsetting, and energy-efficient vehicles for many years to reduce their climate impact. The latest additions to their vehicle fleet include five electric and four gas-powered trucks. Additionally, an electric distribution truck will be put into operation in Helsingborg this autumn. Recently, NTEX Inrikes also signed the city’s climate agreement, aiming to make Helsingborg one of the EU’s 100 climate-smart cities. The goal is for the city to be climate-neutral by 2030.

“For our part, the agreement means that we commit to aiming for climate-neutral operations of our business in Helsingborg by 2030 within the next six years. We will also gradually invest in more electric and gas-powered distribution trucks. On the roof of our new logistics center, we will install solar panels, which will reduce our environmental impact. By working on multiple fronts simultaneously, we are taking steps towards sustainability, with the goal of becoming completely fossil-free in Sweden by 2035. This is important for the climate and crucial to attracting and strengthening cooperation with forward-thinking and climate-conscious customers like Lagerhaus,” says Jan Lundberg, CEO of NTEX Inrikes.
