EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR)

Published 27 oktober 2025

The EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) is part of the EU Green Deal and aims to minimize the Union’s contribution to global deforestation and forest degradation, as well as reduce the Union’s greenhouse gas emissions. The regulation affects several industries and companies within the supply chain and will apply differently depending on the size and product area of the company.

When does EUDR start?
• December 30, 2025 – Large and medium-sized companies (including all timber companies)
• June 30, 2026 – Small and micro-enterprises

NTEX will not be able to collect information on behalf of our customers. However, we will:
• Handle the application in the EUIS system (FOTA)
• Advise on what information needs to be included
Products affected by EUDR
• Wood products
• Rubber
• Cattle
• Soy
• Cocoa
• Coffee

Exemptions: Bamboo/rattan-based products, packaging materials, waste, recycled and used products.
