As NTEX's new Safety Advisor, Anna-Karin Falk wants to ensure that transports of dangerous goods are carried out both safely and efficiently, in all modes of transport.
Anna-Karin switched from exporting to importing when NTEX opened its office in Arlanda, Sweden in 2017.
“We are a close-knit team of four with the backing of our fantastic manager Jerry Nilsson. He gives us free rein to develop both ourselves and the company in a positive direction!”
In recent years, Anna-Karin has had the opportunity to specialise in transport of dangerous goods through training in air, sea, road, and rail. She has also obtained a safety advisor diploma at The Swedish Civil Contingency Agency (MSB) in Karlstad.
“ The next step will be attending a training course to become an ADR instructor. Then we can register with the MSB as training coordinators in the near future and start holding our own ADR driving courses, which means we will be able to adapt the training to NTEX’s conditions and make sure they are in line with our quality standards.”
NTEX customers can get help with anything from cargo declarations to advice on the transport and handling of dangerous goods.
“Dangerous goods are substances and objects that pose a risk to people and the environment. For instance, things that can burn, corrode, or be otherwise harmful or hazardous. It can include all sorts of things such as hairspray, batteries, perfumes, and fuels. We make sure it is transported safely and efficiently, and if the authorities oppose in any way, I’m always close at hand,” Anna-Karin concludes.
