Active environmental choices – again and again

To work towards a good environment is to continually impose higher demands and make good choices for a sustainable development. NTEX makes demands on both operators and customers and lobbies for infrastructural development. We would like to see extensive development of the railway network system throughout the whole of Sweden – where electric power comes from environmentally friendly energy sources.

We work consistently with environmental issues
The haulage contractors we choose only use environment-classed trailer trucks and we conclude an environmental contract with each and every one. By fully utilising loading capacities and optimising routes – and both loading and unloading at each destination – we can reduce the environmental impact effectively. We have chosen to invest heavily in our own semi-trailers, which can also be loaded onto trains and boats. And we are conducting talks with our customers and always trying to find an environmentally effective transport solution.

NTEX continues to challenge
We at NTEX are very aware that we are operating in an industry which contributes to the greenhouse effect, which threatens our climate, which creates acidification and overfertilization etc. As regards our own operations, we consider that laws, regulations and EU directives only provide minimum stipulations. We impose greater requirements on ourselves than that. Every day we work to reduce our share of the emissions and in different ways achieve a positive development for the environment. And we at NTEX want to continue to conduct a constructive debate in the society that we shall hand over to our children.

More goods on the railways!

More investments are needed to develop the infrastructure - especially in the Gothenburg region. Today's railway network is extremely inadequate. To invest in the train services is to invest in tomorrow's environment. Particularly in a country like Sweden, where electrical power comes from environmentally favourable energy sources.
