NTEX on the offensive when it comes to environmental issues within the transport industry

We have drawn up the following preconditions for our business operations, not only to meet the market's demands for more environmentally friendly transports, but also to actually support sustainable development:

  • Our transportation management works purposely to reduce the total environmental impact both of the transport and of the goods being transported.
  • We shall prevent unnecessary contaminants by making use of every opportunity to consolidate the shipment of goods.
  • When we are negotiating shipping services, we impose requirements on a smoothly functioning and advanced environmental management system based on ISO 14000.
  • When we are negotiating haulage services, we impose requirements that all vehicles shall be Euro 3 class and that new vehicles are Euro 4 class (minimum).
  • We shall openly communicate our progress in our environmental work, both externally and internally.
  • Within the whole of our business operations, we are of the opinion that laws, regulations and EU directives only provide minimum stipulations – and we impose greater requirements on ourselves than that.

Through continuous training and education, our business activities shall maintain a high degree of competence and an understanding of environmental issues. NTEX is certified in accordance with ISO 14001.

Our overall environmental objectives are to:

  • Minimise the environmental impact of transports and machinery through continuous demands for newer vehicles.
  • Minimise the environmental impact on land and water caused by oils, tires and chemicals.
  • Successively reduce noise emissions from vehicles, machinery and associated equipment.
  • Minimise the environmental impact of waste management.
